2026 Move-a-Thon
Move Together, Give Together, Learn Together

We're shaking things up in 2026.
Our previous spring Move-a-thon is now taking place on Friday, September 25 in the afternoon. That means we've got a bit of a shorter window to meet our goal of raising $20,000 for BCS, but we know we can do it!
What else is new this year?
In previous years, the students would walk with their class during the Move-a-Thon for a number of pledged kilometres. This year, the students will be spending the Move-a-Thon moving with their Community Connections Team through a series of activities over the course of the afternoon! The students will raise funds as a group for a team goal of $1,000 (approximately $90/student), and receive prizes as a group for meeting different goals. The top fundraising team will also receive a grand prize!
If the entire school reaches it's fundraising goal of $20,000 -- the students will get to SLIME a teacher! And any subsequent $1,000 raised after $20,000 will mean another teacher gets the SLIME!
Trust us when we say this is a student favourite.
Finally, all Move-a-Thon sponsorships will take place online this year! Simply click or share the link below with those interested in supporting BCS students and they can give online!

Frequently asked questions
What is a 'Community Connection group'? Community Connection groups are groups that each student is assigned to at the beginning of the year. Each group contains students from all grades and classes. Together, each week, the groups work together during Community Connections to complete challenges, learn together or face whatever event is lined up for them. This helps build a sense of community and allows students to learn and know about each other, from the kindergarteners all the way up to the grade 8s!
What if I don't know what group the student(s) I am supporting is/are in? Not to worry! If you're not sure what group, we can find that out! All we need from you is it the name(s) of the student(s) you are supporting. This is all reflected in the donation form.
